Caravan Park and Motorhome Sites Overview

At the main area that was est in 1987, we have been very mindful of clearing land and taking away from the charm that only time and hard work have created so you are closer to your neighbours but you have some nice additions like private creekfront decks on most sites, large kitchen area with everything you could need like a pizza oven, bbq, gas stoves, huge fire pit, undercover areas, flushing toilets, rainforest showers with hot water, huge swimming hole.

There are few sites that can accommodate larger setups of up to 12m and multiple sites that can accommodate setups up to 7.5m. Space is limited if we are at capacity but you will always have somewhere to be on your own and enjoy the stunning nature surrounding you.

Our best site on the property is called the dream site for a reason, it has a large deck with views up Tea Tree Creek and down to our swimming hole, can accommodate larger setups and is very private:)

Fequently Asked Questions

Do I need to book a site in advance?

We recommend booking in advance, especially during peak seasons, to secure your preferred site. However, we will always do our best to accommodate anyone who wants to stay after driving by.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, we love animals as long as they are extremely well-behaved and kept on a leash at all times.

If you think that your pet is going to bark uncontrollably, aggressive with other animals, including the wildlife that’s here it’s best to leave them at home.

If the property is busy, we don’t allow pets in the swimming hole and ask that you pay a $5 fee per pet.

Is there a time limit on how long I can stay?

As long as you are a nice person, you can stay as long as you like.

Can I have a campfire at my site?

Yes, bring your own fire pit if you like and just make sure you put all the ash into our main fire area.

Some sites have their own fire pit already and there are multiple fire pits and fireplaces for everyone to enjoy.

Wood is available to be purchased on site or feel free to bring your own.

How many nights should I stay to see everything?

We recommend three nights for you to really be able to enjoy the Platypus BushCamp, Finch Hatton Gorge and Eungella National Park.

Is there phone service or Wi-Fi?

There is no phone service here in Finch Hatton Gorge however, we do have satellite Internet that works really well.

If there’s something important you need to do online or you need to get some work done, that’s no problem, but we are trying to do our bit at giving people a break from technology and talking to each other, so keep that in mind before you ask for the passwords.
